Fallout from the death of Osama bin Laden has dominated news today. Not surprising, as he was one of Earth’s most famous people (for better or worse).

Despite hundreds of news reports and President Obama’s address, some people have still expressed doubt that the Al Qaeda leader is actually deceased.

There are also many other questions and angles to this story.

Does this change your opinion of Obama? Is it okay to cheer a man dying, no matter how awful he was? Is everyone at Fox News and its affiliates a moron?

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky Tie the Knot!

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton has married longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky! The nuptials took place Saturday evening at the lavish Astor Courts estate in Rhinebeck, New York, where the couple exchanged vows before hundreds of guests. Clinton’s famous parents – former President Bill Clinton and current U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — were by their daughter’s side for the “I Dos.” The proud parents released the following statement to “The Insider”: “Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day.” After the ceremony, the wedding reception was in full swing with the sounds of the Diana Ross dance tune “I’m Coming Out” echoing across the Hudson River. Mezvinsky, an investment banker, is the son of former U.S. congressman Ed Mezvinsky, 73, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies. The couple announced their engagement last November via email. Their happy announcement read, “We’re sorry for the mass email but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn’t get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays!”

Oksana: Mel Gibson Should ‘Tell The Truth’

LOS ANGELES â Mel Gibson’s ex-girlfriend says she’s the victim of a “smear campaign” and never tried to extort money from the Oscar-winning star.

In a video interview posted Friday on RadarOnline.com, Oksana Grigorieva says she’s been “victimized all over again” by speaking out about her troubles with Gibson. She accuses him of “trivializing domestic violence” and urges him to “tell the truth.”

The Russian singer and mother of Gibson’s youngest child says the now-infamous tapes allegedly of the filmmaker threatening Grigorieva were all recorded on one night, and that she recorded the calls because she feared for her life.

Gibson met with sheriff’s detectives last week to discuss his claims of extortion against his ex. The sheriff’s department is also investigating claims by Grigorieva that Gibson abused her during a January confrontation.

Chelsea Clinton Pre-Wedding Party Underway

Bill and Hillary Clinton have arrived to an event in Rhinebeck, New York Friday night in celebration of their daughter Chelsea‘s reported weekend wedding with Marc Mezvinsky, and “The Insider” has the details. The former president arrived in the side entrance of The Beekman Arms, wearing a tuxedo. The mother of the bride, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, arrived wearing a green, one-shoulder chiffon gown. The Clintons smiled and waved to cameras and cheering fans. Famous guests spotted arriving to the soiree include Diane Sawyer, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Terry McAuliffe. The Beekman Arms, which bills itself as America’s oldest operating inn, is the site of a pre-wedding party to be attended by many of the Clintons’ wedding guests. A source on the ground nearby the inn tells us a gate has been set up around the building and its front windows have been covered. Brad Balfour: Legendary Director Ken Russell Makes a Rare New York Appearance at the Film Society

One of the greatest directors of all time, the 83-year-old Ken Russell, is enjoying a retrospective at the Lincoln Center Film Society, Russellmania, starting this weekend going on through July 5th. This is one filmmaker who pushed the envelope both creatively and professionally — and in many ways changed the face of cinema, inspiring many of my generation both aesthetically and personally.

Not only will nearly all of his best films be screened there — from some of my favorites such as The Devils (1971) and Savage Messiah (1972) — but some of his most widely acclaimed films such as his Oscar-winning Women in Love (1969) and his extravagant version of The Who’s Tommy (1975) will get a proper showing again.

More importantly, the eccentric British filmmaker will also make an extended appearance here, spending six nights providing conversations with the audience about several of his most memorable and provocative films. Tonight, he discusses his experiences in making The Devils, his torturously graphic telling of an Inquisition-like persecution inspired by Aldous Huxley’s The Devils of Loudon (with Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave). Though he had been in New York not long ago when his production of the play, Mindgame, was seen here, he has not been around the city for such a substantial time to really talk about his work publicly in years.

On Saturday, July 31, Russell will answer questions about his sexually ground-breaking version of D.H. Lawrence’s Women in Love. The film starred Glenda Jackson, Oliver Reed, and Alan Bates and is unforgettable for its nude wrestling scene, which showed male genitalia.

â¨On Sunday August 1st, The Boy Friend will screen with Russell in attendance. This is one of his many musically-inspired films, this time harkening back to the Jazz Age starring famous model Twiggy and Glenda Jackson. On Monday Aug. 2nd, the burly director will join the audience in discussing Mahler, one of his several biographical films inspired by the life of a classical composer. Another one of those fascinating cinematic re-imaginings, Lisztomania, will have Russell on hand this coming Wednesday August, 4th.

Finally, on Thursday August 5th, the Film Society will show his incredible visual fantasy version of the Who’s landmark rock opera — to be dissected by director and audience alike.

Oksana Grigorieva Speaks on Mel Gibson Tapes: "I Was in Fear For My Life"

Breaking her silence for the first time since the now-infamous Mel Gibson tapes were leaked, Oksana Grigorieva says she recorded him because she feared for her life, and that his response (or lack thereof) amounts to a trivializing of domestic violence.

Oksana told her unofficial mouthpiece Radar Online all about the custody fight for daughter Lucia, Gibson’s vile rants and the disturbing abuse photos.

“I’m devastated. Everybody’s devastated,” Grigorieva said, adding that with her ex’s silence, “I think Mel, basically, is trivializing domestic violence.”

“It is unfair that by standing up to somebody – and speaking out – I am being victimized all over again. He has hurt so many people,” Oksana said.

Grigorieva says she recorded and saved the phone calls and voicemails from an enraged Gibson that have sparked so much controversy out of fear.

“I didn’t think I was going to make it through the night,” she explains.

Oksana says Mel needs to tell the truth.

“Everything, by the way, this is really important, all of the tapes that you hear on the Internet, all of them were recorded that one night. The tapes, as you call them, the voicemails, everything was recorded that night because I was in fear for my life.”

“I really did not think I was going to make it.”

Gibson hasn’t publicly commented on Grigorieva’s claims, but his attorneys say he did not hit Oksana and have tried to cast doubt on all evidence.

For her part, Oksana denies extortion allegations by Mel’s legal team: “It is all false information he is feeding the press. It is a smear campaign.”

Saying that a court order prevents her from revealing details, she pleaded to Mel: “Speak the truth, tell the truth, for the sake of your daughter.”

Authorities are still investigating both the extortion charge against Oksana Grigorieva, as well as domestic violence claims against Mel Gibson.

In a new video interview, Mel Gibson‘s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva speaks out against the star, saying that he has unleashed a “smear campaign” against her ever since she came forward with domestic violence allegations against him. “I’m devastated,” Grigorieva tells Radar Online. “I think Mel is basically trivializing domestic violence and this is very, very sad.” Grigorieva says she was “in fear for her life,” when she recorded the now-infamous tapes of Mel’s alleged verbal tirade against her. “What is unfair is that by standing up to somebody and speaking up, I’m being victimized again,” she adds. Mel is currently under investigation for domestic abuse. Grigorieva, who shares a baby daughter named Lucia with Gibson, shoots down claims that she tried to extort money from the star, saying, “I have never extorted anything from him…it’s a smear campaign.” When asked to deliver a message to Gibson on camera, Grigorieva says, “Speak the truth — tell the truth for the sake of your daughter.”

Lanesia Garcia: Pregnant By Levi Johnston?!

Already famous for impregnating Bristol Palin two summers ago, Levi Johnston now finds himself embroiled in another baby scandal, according to reports.

The National Enquirer says Levi may have knocked up one of his old girlfriends during the period of estrangement between his two engagements to Bristol.

Levi and Bristol just got back together and engaged, ostensibly out of love and a desire to raise son Tripp together, but also to make some serious loot.

But if his ex-girlfriend, Lanesia Garcia, is really pregnant with his child pregnant – and she believes Levi is the daddy – that could be a tough obstacle.

Of course, it’s still very much unclear if the child was sired by the Playgirl model. To put it nicely, Lanesia apparently gets around … like a record.

BABY DADDY RELOADED? Levi better hope he shot blanks this time.

“Levi insists the baby isn’t his, but no one really knows,” a source said. “Levi is one of three possible fathers with Lanesia the probably week of conception.”

Three in one week? Wow, she sounds like a girl who really has her act together. Guess there’s not a lot to do in Alaska … well, besides Lanesia Garcia.

Still, friends of Bristol Palin say she is “heartbroken” after learning her fiancé might become a baby daddy with another girl, Radar Online reports today.

A Palin family rep says that “no official decision has been made” about the future of the couple, who are now communicating only “by text message.”

We can’t wait until Sarah gets on Twitter to comment on this. Her critique of Obama for going on The View this week will seem tame by comparison.
