@tripjet999 Most Americans poison themselves with one substance or another. Are we going to outlaw all the other toxic substances in our food, water, products? Did you know that there are cultures that smoke tobacco that don't get lung cancer? Some researchers think that the cause is other substances that are added to the tobacco that causes cancer.

Guess drug companies do sell Vitamin D now, 2011. MFG "Break". I was prescribed 50,000 units, capsules, to take one, once a week, then I do a followup lab in two weeks to check my D levels. I suppose it's better than nothing. The pharmacist said I should take my routine OTC VitD of 2000 per day as well as the prescribed 50K Units per week. Needless to say I conducting my own research first. Thanks for the info.

IT'S ACTUALLY VITAMIN "D3" FOLKS, IT WORKS MUCH MUCH BETTER IN YOUR BODY AND FOR YOUR SYSTEM THEN VITAMIN D IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. DON'T BELIEVE ME, DO THE RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF AND GET THE REAL STORY, ALL THESE "EXPERTS" SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN THIS.
