Truly breathtaking and inspiring. It must be so rewarding to see your efforts evolve into such beauty. I would love to visit. Is photography allowed by the public?

As an adult I can appreciate the effort that was made to beautify a stripped out mine site. As a seven year old dragged along to this place when Grandma visited from the east, it seemed like endless torture to me, all the most interesting places to walk were chained off. Pure torture for a little kid!

Hello Sailor1936, great video! The commentary provides a nice context to the beautiful images. This video would be great for the Canada's Got Treasures collection, which aims to feature Canadian videos of personal or cultural significance. Help celebrate Canadian diversity by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure) and submitting your video. It would be made available on our channel and website.

Victoria is the Gardening Capital of Canada because the climate is perfect. They need to plant a few Palm trees in Butchart.

If you want to see a different garden than Burchart and Glendale, please check up Jardin de Metis. It is a very charming and natural style garden, full of streams and slopes that show the best plant combination. It is like having a walk in the mountain at times. One of the books I read lists it as one of the best gardens on the east side of Canada, besides the Montreal Botanical Garden. It is worth visiting, especially for people who like blue poppies. It is 7 hours of drive from Montreal. |
