An amazing new book out on her life and her incredible inventions. THIS is no dumb movie star.

@9162vb48 Is that so? Who would these "Hollywood insiders" be, and to whom did they tell about Hedy's ignorance? Your comment is laughable.

I recall reading, In Errol Flynn's autobiography "My Wicked Wicked Ways", he said that Hedy Lamarr {in later years} became a Kleptomaniac. Nobody's perfect. He also considered her the perfect classic beauty {visually}.

Hedy Lamarr was awesome! She tried to stop hitler with Spread Spectrum! Even though her invention wasn't taken seriously by the government and was stolen it still was Hedy lamarr! Her legacy is so incredible but few know it. How sad?

Here in Texas, all the great glamor gals end up marrying oil millionaires.. Miss Lamarr, Gene Tierney and Greer Garson.

@franklindavid You sad it man. just as quick as Lucy too. Sad lovelife but that is the price of genius around nothing but useless fucksticks she was to good for them. To good for them all. probably sounded like a cooze at partys but I love her just the same. "Can you feel my love Brian? Can you? Can you feel me inside you Brian" had to get a quick family guy reference in before I finish. "And boom goes the dynamite" Clevend rules! ahh I finally came. nice talking to you. "Bye Bye"

nevertheless she did make a ground breaking invention and said herself she wasn't given much credit for it. Maybe it is alright to overstate her legacy, we can't always be too specific.and she just didn't sit there and do nothing.even if she isn't a so called scientist I admire her courage and her character. I'd raise my glass to her any day.
