I love how everyone's bitching as though they know better than scientists to not "take it out of its natural habitat"...this thing was a goner, Look at the infection in its gills for christs sake! Doesn't matter if it was being studied in a tank or in the depths of the ocean, it would have died either way, might as well learn more about the species while you can.

@Metallica1071991 They didn't take it out of its natural habitat, it swam to the surface of its own accord because it was sick and felt death approaching. Capturing it didn't kill it, it just failed to keep it alive.
