We actually didn't play Mozart Symphony #40 that evening...
The first part of the concert was "Vesperae de Dominica KV 321".
By the way this concert was elected the "best concert of the year" in Japan...

Great video. Could you please post the Mozart Symphony #40 in G minor from that concert? I believe it was before done the same night as this requiem. It was on youtube but was removed. It could be the best version of that symphony. Harnocourt is a master.

This (in my opinion) let's the listener (if they are open to it) feel the deep sadness felt when a love one dies. The immense feeling of loss is expressed, (in a way that no other piece of music that I have ever heard). |
