@samse15 It all depends on the type of calculation that you want to make. And there are many different ways to make a mortgage calculator in Excel.

Why do you use the formula for monthly interest payment if it is a fixed rate loan? When I compare your answer to an online mortgage calculator, it comes out that they just use yearly interest/12 for the monthly interest, not the whole "compounded" formula you have in there. Thanks.
