@prsttx People have been riding fixed gear bicycles since the 1850's. Only within the past few years have hipsters started using them and have brought them to the attention of the cycling industry.
You will always find someone riding a fixed gear bike, not forgetting the fact they are required under UCI rules for track riding. The father of cycling, James Starley, would turn in his grave if he could see everyone riding around with gears.

@prsttx fixie bikes? Do you also say MTB bikes and station wagon cars? I'm sure we are many dedicated fixie riders who hope you are right, though Google Trends show something else. 5 years ago there were people saying what you just said. When is soon? Just wondering.
