Bottom line: there is NO difference between a "crime" vs a "war" vs a "conflict" vs "terrorism". They are ALL conflicts. ALL opinions on the matter are POLITICAL opinions (regarding what the law should be, how much force should be used). Everything differs in magnitude, not in kind.

Forgiveness is great. But, that still does not give logically consistent algorithm for deciding who should forgive whom in a conflict. And, just because a jury thinks ("finds") a citizen ("convict") is "guilty" of anything in a conflict or war ("crime") doesn't mean you ("crime victim") are right. Maybe the "criminal" was justified in what they did and there should not have been a law against it. Point is: nothing you say gives a fair algorithm for deciding who is (more) right.
