@CelticAngloPress I am not 'Marxist', 'hipster' or your friend, so I would appreciate it if you didn't refer to me as such. To the point at hand, darlin' - The early modern usage of the word was absorbed by Christianity roughly 400AD. (evolving again in the 12th and 17th centuries) But the word itself, meaning adherence to the 'village' practice, is well rooted in Latin - which as around before Christianity, not that I need to remind you of that. Sorry but it wasn't used before Christianity my new age marxist hipster friend, it had no name, it was/is made up of local traditions and local cultures, and is technically understood as Polthyeism, "Pagan" was/is a slander that came afterwards from Christianity

@BetelgeuseLLL If and how Christianism (and any other religion/dogma) fucks up roots and tradition is now in our own hands by either following blindly "orders" or using our brain to think. And to be honest, Christian Religion is made of people, which means that even if it wasn't Christianism it would be another religion that would "fuck up" things. People fucked them up. |
