@TheDreamerAwakens
Much agreed. I had never even heard of this band and now I'm going to buy the album, all because Sherlockians pointed me here.

Oh don't hate a fandom for associating a song with a character. If the fandom of sherlock runs with this song it only adds to the bands popularity, possibly gets The Band new fans, and might help sell some more of their albums. At the very least it adds to this videos view count.

But seriously, this is a beautiful song. Very sad lyrics, but the tune is happy. Kind of different, very cool.

@CheckeredParadox I think I'll need an ocean instead, please.

Leonard Cohen is an absolute musical legend, if there ever was one. All modern songwriter owe something to his work. He's just release a new record called "Old Ideas". In a really cool side project called, "Old Ideas with New Friends", some of the great bands of now have been covering Leonard Cohen Songs. Everyone from Cold War Kids and the Cults to Nicole Atkins and the Mountain Goats have participated thus far, with more to come. It's pretty cool—go check it all out.

I don't know what Sherlock is, but I've been listening to John singing for a few years now. Since I was 15, so about six years, to be more exact. Isn't Sherlock a show on Netflix?

damn, and I was having a relatively good day. Cried only three times. Now, I'm basically scuba diving in my room.
