@dennis48124 Okay, it's like I said: The Prius is a luxury item. And it doesn't sell a lot of units anywhere :-) I can hardly recall when I last saw one. And that's here in the UK where gas/petrol is the equivalent of $9.50 per gallon.

@KuddaRugg let's see. population fell 25% in the last 10 years and over 50% since 1950. 50 years of democrats rode the city down the tubes. The vacant land in detroit could fit san francisco or boston. Detroit has been on the comeback for over 40 years. No supermarket chain or major retailers are located in the city. The city is in debt, the school system is in debt and a joke. Hell you elected kawme kilpatrick - twice. What have you done to be proud of?

@charlessmyth after 15 years on the market the prius sold something like 43,00 vehicles i the U.S. last year.  Not what anyone would call a success and certainly not a profitible vehicle for toyota.
