For some reason I get weird sharp protrusions coming out of the mesh when I preview it. Sometime they're not even symmetric even though I was using symmetry to create the model. Any tips on how to stop this from happening?

The zBrush UI is almost impossible without a bit of jumpstart in learning, this is a good video that is very helpful

@b00mYou Oh ok thanks, and if its a bump map and tessellation in the road is that still a textures that manipulated to look like its sticking up? Or did they make the mesh look like that then put road texture on it?

@TheLoser6 This is a very common problem with ZSpheres. When you create your first ZSphere, immediately turn edit on and create another ZSphere on top of that one (hold shift after you start dragging to make it exact size) and do the same on the bottom. This sill make sure you have a solid shape where you don't have an invisible background.

@babyprincess208 Make sure edit mode is enabled. This is pretty much the number one reason why something like this happens in ZBrush. Otherwise I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would prevent you from rotating or moving.
