don't tell your kids to refrain from drugs and alcohol....they can make those decisions all by themselves.
don't tell your kids stay outta the river and swwimm in the municipal pool....they know what's best for them!
don't tell your kids "it's the rich man's war and the poor man's fight"....they can figure it out!
it;s believed that women don't handle G-force as well as men.......so why would anyone want them in an F-16?
i know lots of GREAT WOMEN that don't wear skirts but......

YOU APPARENTLY LIVE IN A SOCIAL GROUP IN WHICH MEN (literally) wear the pants, the ladies being required to wear dresses.
Fine. It's a free country. That's is what liberty is all about.
But don't try to tell a woman who wants to fly an F-16 Fighting Falcon that she cannot do it because she is female and the fighter may get into combat.
(And don't try to tell a professional woman that she has to wear skirts, not pants, to work.)
You will be laughed at back to the 19th century.

@goat909295 ; are you tellin' me that some runny nosed 17 year old signing up for duty in the military KNOWS WHAT A PH*CKING (your word) COBAT ZONE LOOKS LIKE?
get off the PROZAC, goater!
are you tellin' me thaat the average 17 year old knows enough about life to make a determination like that?

RE: "it's a NO-BRAINER what combat is about."
YOU AND SANTORUM HAVE A REMARKABLE AMOUNT OF GALL, telling women in the military the nature of service in a combat zone. You have no clue what the modern combat is like, and yet you say that women can't do it.
Remember, every woman in the armed services volunteered to be there. Every woman there DOES WANT THE OPTION for service in a combat zone, although she may elect not to do it.
It's a matter of sex discrimination.
graysonTW (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
this doesn't have a THING to do with whether SANTORUM was ever in combat! it's a NO-BRAINER what combat is about.
this isn't about drivin' truck or deliverin' mail! this is about WAR!
graysonTW (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
let's build a society where women and men are totally INDISTINGUISHABLE from one another!
let's line 'em up on a hockey rink directly opposite Alexander Ovetchkin....and wish 'em the best!

WAS RICK SANTORUM EVER IN COMBAT? Were you? What do you two know that military women don't ?
You both are trying to "protect" military women from terrible things. Let me tell you: Military women are damn tough, and in better shape than most men. They don't need or want your "protection." They are pursuing a military career by THEIR OWN CHOICE. And they are the ones asking for combat zone experience.
You think you're in the early 20th century when women needed "protection."

WOMEN in the armed forces in WW II did not serve in combat zones. That was another war, another time.
Blacks did not serve in combat zones then, either. |
