My 2nd Dad died a few years ago, i had the job of driving him to the hospise, and he told me these words almost exactly. I walked him to the bus and a part of me died inside! I did the best i could but in never seemed to equalize the HUGE imbalace between the influence he had on my life compared to the influence he had on mine!

@Jmtodd001 My japanese dad died in a fatal car wreck before I was born and my american mom is living in a trailer park with my half brother and my mom couldn't take care of me on her own because she had no job and still doesn't and my grandparents adopted me so I call them mom and dad so my grandfather is the only dad I have and he is so old and works so hard at age 61 it's only a matter of time before he dies of stress and when I first heard this song I cryed for a whole hour after

this song still tears my eyes up.it came out when my 2 sons were 2 and 3.now their 19 and 20.id still give them the very last drop of blood from my body'
