Ebert hated this movie and still hates it for it's reliance on special effects and cliches. It's funny, because there's another movie that did the exact same thing and he frickin' loved it. Either's he's getting old, or I really should've learned by now that his opinion is purely subjective.

@Blackchain119 in the italian dub he says "porta delle stelle (gate to the stars), stargate!" to maintain coherence with them calling it stargate thereafter but the complete translation was (at least, within the adaptation) "gate to the stars"

Stargate SG-1 is similar to the Nickelodeon animated series Danny Phantom in the following ways: the Stargate=the Ghost Portal Daniel Jackson=Daniel, Jack's son Jack=Jack Sam=Sam Teal'c=Tucker Vala=Valerie Ra=Hotep-Ra David Kaufman, who voiced Danny Phantom, also played Mark Gilmore in the Stargate SG-1 season 8 episode "Zero Hour." Both shows have an episode in which Earth is made intangible (Danny Phantom season 3 finale: "Phantom Planet," Stargate SG-1 season 10: "The Road Not Taken").

i certain i remember it all worked out well they found a new land where they follow Y'ashua properly, hope no joker tried to make an alternative ending cos sometimes there really aint an alternative.

not watched that for ages just killing bit of time waiting for a lift to the shopping centre which strangely enuf is called stargate. i shouldnt really be shopping today of all days but i need a tent, may get some pizza too i feel like starving marvin today...was interesting episode about Ethiopia and the south park lads got some spaceship of da cia took starving marvin and his fam but all the places they seek refuge was already overrun by these 'christians' cant mind how it ended i plan watch
