This is the ultimate Eddie Hazel tribute to Jimi. This song just boogies. It is from the album Rest in P. This song features Eddie Hazel on guitar and Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey on drums.

@EddieHazel74 The only connection I have found between Eddie and Jimi is Red Hot Mama. Jimi heard the original version of Red Hot Mama on Osmium and mentioned it in the song Dolly Dagger where he says "red hot mama you better step aside, this chick's gonna burn you to a block of ice." I would have loved to see Eddie in Jimi's place as the Band of Gypsys. That would have been awesome. The closest we'll have to that is Comin Round The Mountain which has both Buddy miles and Billy Cox

@chiknfulio I belive Band Of Gypsies never played any clubs at all. Maybe in unofficial jams, but as far as offical, schedueled concerts go, They only played 5 concerts. The four BOG shows at the fillmore east from December 31, 1969-January 1, 1970 and the disasterous show at madison square garden on January 28, 1970. Jimi always jammed in the nyc clubs, so i think it's a possiblity that really happened at an unofficial, unrecord jam session at a small nyc club.

@NinjaTurtling: The Macalpine album your referring to is "Edge of Insanity". While Tony didn't "invent" Shred, he is one of the guitarist who helped popularize it. IIRC the term "Shred/Shredder" wasn't really used until the late 80's early 90's. A few years after the trend of really technically proficient rock guitar playing started.
