@salakast: You said "the american system, although promoting patriotism, also promotes tolerance." It's not about what is specifically being promoted. It's about how the school system molds kids into having certain view points and how they train them to be conformists. You should do research on the school system and it's histroy with the Prussian empire. And by the way, American public schools don't really teach individualism. That would undermine mainstream media and big government.

@summercures2 the american system, although promoting patriotism, also promotes tolerance. it was quite the opposite of the nazi education system actually. and the nazi education system is centered on benefiting the german people, the philosophy, and the state, while the american system is centered on becoming successful for yourself

I never said that Nazi-Germany and the U.S. were comparable in that aspect. What I was comparing, however, was the methods of indoctrination that goes on in both German and American schools.
