ravedreamer.............yes, I play it in my sleep and every day on YouTube. Did you get sent to Nam? I was born 6/6/1952 and was at the age of lottery numbers and the draft. my fofmer brother in law went in in 1970 and was out 6 months later...........he did come back pretty well screwed up with his mind. He also divorced my sister in 1973 and went of to Seattle from Minnesota(St. Paul) I new he was messed up due to the way he acted when he got back. Hopefully, he is better now...God bless

also: group member Kenny Gorka apparently went on to be a producer in the early 70's...he produced a GREAT song recorded by the group called 'Weekend"..the original version was called 'Coming Home to Mrs Jones Garden', then when the 45 was put on an LP two years later (in 1975) the song title was changed to 'Going Home to Mrs Jones Garden'...both are on youtube and they are a MUST listen...

My Lottery number was right below where they were drafting, so, I wasn't as lucky. But thanks to the Treaty of Paris they just wanted to send all of us home.
Life is increasingly complicated today, that is for sure. But I wish you the very best of luck Pkappe. At least we have the healthy escape of listening to the Critters.

ravedreamer......good idea, will try to dream about the critters playing their tunes. that will put me to sleep........I had a draft deferement since I was going to college in Minnesota.........and than back in 1971 I had a Lottery number that was very high. all in all, the 60's in my opinion were the best time's of my life. now it's about paying the bills and trying to stay alive paying health care insurance bills that are higher premiums than my house monthly payment!!!! what a joke that..

They really were good days back then. Sometimes it seems like a dream to me.

Don Ciccone of the Critters, was the lead singer on this excellent cover of J Sebastian's song. Don was drafted into the USAF, sent to Vietnam and learned the Critters were popular in Nam after the group started to gain traction. Don later joined the 4 Seasons and shared the vocals with Frankie Valli. Don still performs today. The Critters (with Jimmy Ryan leading) put out a great album called Touch N Go. Songs were amazing. It was never put to digital. Don, Jim and Bob went to Villanova.
