If you have expected that he would talk about his "realtionship to Mickey Mouse" by telling whether he watches it and thinks Mickey Mouse is cute or not, well, as I told you, in fact his topic was not Mickey Mouse.
The media made an issue out of it and centered Mickey Mouse.
And by the way, I prefer Donald Duck, maybe the Sheikh too? ;-D

But what is he saying here? For me he just beats about the bush by talking about Islam in general and a little bit about harmful animals, but not much about his relationship to Mickey Mouse.

It is a very good thing to read the Quran. By reading it you can form your own view on it. Maybe it is hard to read for you and "mysterious" because of the translation. Do you know the author of the translation of the near meaning of the Quran you read?
The translation should be done by a Muslim. Some persons translate the Quran not correctly to mislead the people.

Well, you may not be able to understand what he says in Arabic, but you hear now what he says in English and how he says it. Therefore you can judge with the help of your mind and intelligence. You hear his arguments and get to know his opinion of this issue from himself.

Do you believe in God (in arabic Allah)?
We can not talk about what God did and why He did it, if you even do not believe in God. And it is much more important to know Who God is and why he has created YOU and all humans, before discussing why he has created animals or even harmful animals.

Of course it is much more sensationally to broadcast the "news" that a Sheikh demands that "Mickey Mouse has to die", instead of the fact that a Sheikh talks about harmful animals as mice and rats and proves that it is correct and the truth, what Islam said 1400 years ago.
