I wonder how long the corporations can continue to do this. Capitalists are well known for being RIDICULOUSLY short-sighted. It's all about the next three months profits. And that's backfired on them more then once.
And you know, if the corporations put the US in early industrialization age misery again, I bet that'll backfire on them too. People take misery when everyone's miserable, but when they where previously having a better time they DON'T take misery, they revolt.
