In fact, any real artist is outside the so called food chain (ignore the showbiz, where did you see artists there?). He is a cat that walks by himself. So it makes Mr.Coppola's statement sound even more idiotic

Some 2500 yrs have passed since Sophocles wrote his Antigone. But it still remains the best tragedy of all time. Even Shakespeare who stole quite a lot from Sophocles could send the latter to the bottom of "food chain"

@cinephilia1 you're absolutely right. Only mediocres steal art. However, Mr. Coppola's logic is like that: in the animal kingdom there is food chain. The flower is eaten by the goat, the goat by the tiger. Hence the tiger is the most powerful and most beautiful creature. But in reality, it is the flower that is art, so?
