@Free1108 Played Tobacco Road at least 30 times even fronted Nantucket there. Primadonna was our band. Loved that place!!!

I saw them in the late '70s at a place called Tobacco Road in Roaring River NC.."conveniently located between New York City and Miami"..was their slogan. LOL..it was out in the middle of nowhere but one of the coolest venues you would ever find. They had great bands and lots of booze and even more drugs..people would get there on Friday night and not leave until Sunday afternoon. Wow..What a party!!

The first time I heard this was on acid in Benton Harbor, MI, in summer of 1979, in the back of a camero with Cindy (the girlfriend of the driver), who was also tripping with me. We, Cindy and I, worked at the Fairplain Cinema's V--she as a manager, and myself as a ticket taker. We worked evenings, partied late into the night, went to the beach in the days--and repeat. Good times. I miss 'em.

remembered these guys from the early 80's.. Saw them at the Switch in Raleigh, Wells PIzza Palace in Goldsboro and many more venues in NC back in the day....sure brings back lots of good memories
