@bgibb101 What do you mean "Western meddling" no sensible corporation, government, or business would ever invest in a country with the level of social upheaval and tense volatility as in the Congo. They could pay the natives a living wage, only to see their investment burned down by regional or tribal warlords.Africa has and always will be backward because the people have yet to adopt our technologies.

Congo is super-rich in natural resources. The Congo River could generate enough electricity to light up half the continent. Unfortunately, western meddling and tribalism have kept them back. Love the people and the vast unspoiled forest - i hope to go back one day.
