@ybbf20102010 in Season 4, they suffers because Marissa died. But after the beginning, stories goes on like nothing ever happened. Like Marissa didn't even exist.

This is what I heard. Mischa (Marissa) wanted to start acting for films as a professional actress. That's why she wanted to leave a tv show like THE O.C. Maybe things between Josh Schwarz and Mischa Barton got ugly so Marissa ended up like that... But I think nobody wanted Marissa to die. Season 4 is a diaster. Ryan and Taylor? WHAT!?
