I never used to watch the intro when I watched this show. Now I can't stop watching it.

And, offcourse, thumps up if the ending of this show made you cry.

I am a simple woman. I have watched several episodes with several more to go. The one thing that bothers me is how poorly Ruth is treated. Why do her children treat her so bad? She seems to care for each of them and does for them but all she ever gets back is eye rolling, grins behind her back and overt rudeness. What did she do to deserve any of this?

From the year 2000-2001 I was undergoing chemo for lymphoma. The 1st round of chemo therapy did not work, and I had to go a step further with harsher treatment. This show came at the right time for me. It gave me strength rather than discomfort. Needless to say, it is in full remission, but the therapy was one I shall never forget.

@Shayneismyname It's not. It ended at the right time - better five seasons of absolute brilliance than 10 seasons of a downward spiral. |
