So if the MACD is making higher lows and the price action is making lower lows, it's a bullish indicator for the near future? But what if the MACD is making higher lows, and the new low in price action is about the same as the previous low? Would that be a bullish indicator or a bearish one?

Do you ever connect the tops of the MACD and price, or do yo always look at the lows?

Hi,
I found this software that find patterns and notify you in real time.
It seems very cool.
They look at 89 diferent patterns, in 1,2,3,5,10,15,30 and 60 minutes time frame, and if a pattern occurs they notify you in Real Time.
I Download it in (inforex.pattern-watcher*com)

Very well explained, at last I managed to understand what MACD is. Thank you very much.

best explanation I ever heard on macd.
to confirm:
- when price is setting higher highs but macd is not....signal is to go short
- when price is setting a lower low but macd is not....signal is to go long
Please clarify: is it considered divergence when macd is setting a higher high but price is not?
- is it considered divergence when macd is setting a lower low but price is not? |
