This problem doesen't need an equation or algebra to figure out. I solved this problem inside of 20 seconds. Just divide 540 by 36 and you get 15 per hour times 40 equals 600. Answer is 600 and it took me less than 20 seconds to figure it out with simple math.

A Manufacturing manager must chose between two shopping Alternatives; Two-day freight and five-day. Using five-day freight would cost $135 less than using two-day freight. The primary consideration is holding cost, which is $10 per unit a year. 2000 items are to be shipped. Which alternative would you recommend? Explain. how do I do this problem? what kind pf formula I have to use? can you show me please?

Week is spelled w-e-e-k, not w-e-a-k.
