The animation in this film is better than the TV series.

This is truly impressive! I really like the concept of this documentary and I love Roy's animation and voice. I also like how this uses a combination of hand-drawn animation and live-action footage. Roy's interaction with live-action objects is incredibly realistic! I like how the cushions move when Roy slightly fidgets about.
Who would have thought that this eventually became a prequel TV series on CBBC which shows Roy as an 11-year-old?

This original version of Roy is brilliant but I can understand the changes made to make it into a children's series. The new format is aimed at a more suitable target audience for animation and the situation has more scope for material.
The original version is more intelligent and subtle in it's humour but I don't think the old Roy could have had as many adventures as the new version of Roy. Well done to everyone involved.
