RE: Godzilla 98 Actually, Emmerich never said Godzilla was boring. He said he loved Godzilla and did his own version. Sadly, his version was a rip-off of Jurrassic Park and wasn't ever really a Godzilla movie to the fans of the actual Godzilla series. It was an "OK" movie, but it really was not a Godzilla movie.

@doltBmB If that is your opinion, then I respect that. I was just voicing my own. However, I would like to point out that on two occasions (GMK and Final Wars) Toho blatantly showed that the "American Godzilla" is not Godzilla.

@Sh4d0wKat You know what I'm tired of hearing this tripe from brainwashed fans who worship bad effects and cheesy rubber suit kung fu. Of course it was a godzilla film. It was a different take, because Emmerich rightly so thought godzilla was a boring character. He didn't want to do the boring godzilla so he did something new and fresh and interesting. Just like how Noland did Batman diffferent from Burton. Jeez.
