I was there as well . Mountain with MadDogs & Englishman 1969 or 1970 .
Life changing show . Leslie West blew me away.

I saw Leslie West, with Corky on drums, at Chicago's Aragon Theater. Corky had a drum roadie who was one of the best drummers, (for the sound check), I ever saw. A big strong guy, about 6'5", long brown hair. Anyone know who he was?

I agree ... Mountain was terrible live. They were a studio band all the way.

In one point he is not right: the band did not function live. It was always slightly out of control, they were not as tight as a good band should be.

Met Corky at a CD signing for Mystic Fire after a really good show in '02 or '03. Great guy and fun to talk to. |
