I remember buying this guitar new in 1981. (It was just four months after Led Zeppelin announced its break-up, and I was still upset about it.) It has held up beautifully in every way. Pressed "send" accidentally on my last post. Anyway, i have 2 custom Carvins, an American strat, a Jackson and a few others. I've used a friends Epi more than once! The pickups are nice, the playability rocks, and it rivals guitarz that cost way more. I'd say though, that if you're gonna blow 100's on mods, just get a Gibson. Anyway, as a 25 year musician i have no probs with a stock epi!
