@yprs i'have a powerball and change some good valve(tung sol and mullard not nos) for some real nos tube(ei,svetlana,tesla,rft) and now i've a soldano sound like with all the quality of the engl this is insane honestly and i'll post a video soon, try buddy you'll see or heard

@photopicker Thank you I haven't listened to these in a long time. I have some new tubes to test and just might redo this with my current gear.

@novanine9 This Tung Sol is an original 12AX7 from the American Co. Tung Sol. No longer made. The NAME Tung Sol is used as a marketing ploy by New Sensor to sell tubes., They also use the names of Mullard and Genalex. These are made in Russia.
The Vintage Tung Sol is a strong bold sound like a cross of a GE and RCA.
I'm glad you like it, it is one of my favorite tubes.

Preamp valve choice is very important in an amp. As are fingers too. Lol.

@yprs Preamp valves contribute to the tone quite a bit. Especially the preamp in position 1 and 2. This guy is comparing the different brand 12AX7 valves for us. |
