Legend Amps Were used by ZZTop and Others. Dubbed the Loudest 30 Watt amp ever made(Some say its as loud as a 75 watt amp). Does not have a distortion setting the sound is acheived by just plain tube overdrive--If you crank up the Treble and Presence to high get ready for some ear Piercing High's -- The speaker is a 12 inch Celestion which account for the amps efficiency Check it out and Comment

I've got one of these. Its my current gigging amp, its very very bright sounding (especially with a tele), but packs a hell of a punch with the right tone dialed in. Gotta crank it to get the best tone. Had very dirty pots, but got those cleaned professionally for $20 and I never looked back.

@BennySka1 Benny, YouTube won't let me post a link. Go to the Telecaster Guitar Forum. In a sub-forum there is a Legend owners club. They can post photos of the circuit board, but a schematic for the 30 still hasn't shown up. I traded off my Legend a few months ago.

@CTubeTV I have one of these amps also. I trying to repair it and would love a pic of the top of the circuit board . If you could . Other wise do you have a schematic for this amp. That you could share.

I gigged with one of these for years with zero reliability problems, other than throw in a couple of new preamp tubes twice a year or something. It was a great compromise... tube sound more or less with solid-state reliability. The reason they went out of biz... way too cheap. They were gearheads not businesspeople and were clueless how to price for a profit.

Just got one of these off of ebay. Just arrived. The Legend speaker is a bit tinny, heard some came w/celestions. If you have access to a closed back cab, preferably a 4X12, try it. The bass comes alive. Hit it with a tube screamer and it wails. Nice build quality. Rock on.

I just pulled the chassis on mine to see about replacing the noisy pots. I found the problem. At one time some previous owner had cracked the solder joints while trying to re-stab the pot shafts through the faceplate. I removed the access hatch on the bottom of the chassis and hit all the lugs on the pots with a solder iron. The noise is now gond when adjusting the pots.

I've changed all the power cords on my old amps and got rid of the polarity switch.
