Considering this was made in 1940, me and my brother love this and remember watching it so much when we were young. We're only 20 and 18 but it goes to show how these quality cartoons have lasted for years and years. Unlike the toot they put on tv now

This short is the fruit of unrestricted creativity, with almost no precedent to set the mark. It really is a child's daydreaming in cartoon. No bs parents lawsuits, no team of psychologists, no fear of prejudice or twisted misinterpretation.... just pure, unadulterated, art, seeping with puerile joy and innocence. No wonder it won an Oscar in 1940. All done by hand, too... and just listen to the complexity of Scott Bradley's music score... A true work of art.
