@Laight4work cool no harm no foul -as much as I thought "Laight4work knows that :)" I know there are some young cats that'll come here to this page and not know. A lot of 'learning backwards' happens to the younger drummers (via You Tube!)
BTW I don't think I could pick "a favorite Steve"

@stillphil - yes . . sorry. that was rhetorical. / Steve is one of the all time greats and definitely developed
his own distinct voice . . but he definitely started out as a Gadd fiend.

Jordan played in Khan's 'Eyewitness' band in the seventys with anthony jackson and Badrena..check out his sound on Khans Guy LaFleur which can be found on steves incredible webpage
