Love this song, but I watch it over and over to see him brush his hair back..OMG, that is the sexiest move in any video I have ever watched!

@127eadgbe 33 years on and this is totally believable and touching for me. How much time do you need?

The term "waltzing matilda" is NOT a reference to a carefree life on the open road with all of ones belongings bundled up in a swag. The term WALTZING MATILDA was used in that period to describe a person hanging by their neck at the end of a rope. A macabre slang description of the times to describe the way a person will thrash about when hanged at the end of a rope by the neck until they succumb to death.

There isn't much to say other than that this man is a genius. Brilliant.

yes this is an ausie song, but done his way. sorry if this upsets you. i know a lot of aussies and they don't care. he flubs the words at the end, should be"cured by the hundreds" it's about struggling with alcoholism. i worked at central sate hospital, and the taxi cabs would pull up next to the windows of afflicted veterans and others to give them their drugs or alcohol

@JackKangaroo1 You are thinking of "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda." That is the Gallipoli veteran's song. It is on youtube in a few spots.
