@MrSUPERCHASE01 Unless you're like Quentin Tarantino...Being an aspiring filmmaker, I m quite nostalgic myself. Funny how the most artistic filmmaker whoever walked the earth in my eyes, Stanley Kubrick, shot all of his films ON FILM. A lot of things back in the day were much better. I'd take equipment and special effects from the '60s, '70s, and '80s over the digital and C.G.I. of the modern era any day.

@UFOSPACE1999 Go watch some of his videos. His name is Mark Kermode...you will find that, even though he's a flawed film critic, you're dead wrong. You'll laugh at yourself for that. He's a critic--not a reporter. He makes documentaries.

He was a good filmmaker back in the '70s/'80s and Saving Private Ryan is well-shot as well as being very accurate for the first 24 minutes...Nevertheless, this mrktyb fellow is partially right. The rest of SPR after the beach invasion is incredibly inaccurate story-wise and just turns into a cleverly subtle anti-German propaganda film. He being Jewish, it makes sense. I'm just tired of people thinking he's the best filmmaker who walked the earth and that SPR is incredibly accurate.

Its funny but people unfortunately don't know the truth about how he really became who he is. He created this fairy tale story about walking onto the Universal lot off the tram ride but that wasn't the truth. His FATHER had a connection working in the studio and set it up so Spielberg could go hang out on the lot that summer. He invented this whole story for publicity purposes and also to give people something to talk about. There are MANY excerpts on the truth by insiders.
