@xaxie1 Well, not quite. Those 60 days were the ones where they had to work on the Demesne, which is the land that the Lord directly controlled- all produce of that land went to the Lord. The rest of the year they spent working the land that they rented from the Lord, so that they could grow enough food for themselves. Often times there were also other rents to be paid from the produce of the land they rented. I

I don't know entirely but from my knowledge Freemen are those born into free families, such as Yof and Mia the performing actors from Seventh Seal, or a traveling salesman, and then a serf would stay on his land all year and farm or milk cows or smith or make things etc.
A slave had no say or money, a serf had money!
