@inthefade cont. now dont get me wrong I love BJJ. I perfer BJJ over MMA if had to pick one to watch. I compete in BJJ so know what you mean. But Zuffa the UFC especially is now catering to uneducated fan hence stupid moves like signing Kimbo and not putting him against a real HW his 1st fight. Plus, the current fanbase knows very little about BJJ. It's hard to market something to someone when they dont even care to learn what it is even if 3/4 of your roster has rank in it. We'll have our time

@inthefade George Satoropolous(sp) took Joe Stevenson to school on the ground at the last UFC. BJ doesnt need to use his BJJ b/c no one takes him down. All of Zuffa's champs are ranked in BJJ with the exception of Dominic Cruz(wec). (Cruz may be ranked nothing has ever been said about it.) 5 of 8 champs are BJJ Black Belts. Lesnar(Blue), Henderson(purple), and Cruz(unknown) are the only ones who havent reached Black Belt. I agree with you but the same time KOs attract more fans and fans=money.

dude i know how you feel. I haven't even cought the past couple UFC's because they simply neglect the sport. it's dissappointing more than anything.

I feel where Brian is coming from. I''m a younger grappler and i feel , just from talking to other people, the disconcern for BJJ. They just don't have the passion like you or I.

It is so sad to see the UFC almost exclusively pushing fighters who are knock-out specialists. Where are the Shinya Aokis of the UFC? Even BJ Penn barely uses his BJJ now. It is sad that it is just becoming 3-ounce-glove-boxing with ground and pound elements, and the rare naked choke, and sometimes even more rare arm bar.

wish grapplers quest would come to Alberta, Canada that would be huge. So many active people here but no big tournaments.
