Thanks for posting, I loved my Darcy doll next to my barbies she was my favorite. I always wanted the disco. I edded up making her a disco with a record player. She owned the Disco and all the Barbies came to hang out. Sonny and Cher headlined there alot. Darcy knew all the major stars and dated a few of them but never married. LOL

No way!! I'd forgotten all about the Darci doll! Her head was a little bigger than Barbie, but that didn't matter when I was very little. :)

Darci was manufactured, in order to be in direct competition to the die-hard Barbie doll. Obviously, Darci, nor her friends didn't make it. A lot of parents back then, thought that Darci was a little too mature and suggestive for their daughters to play with, and suggested Barbie instead. Kenner evenually had to stop manufacturing Darci and her pals. Oh, well. There's always ebay, if anyone wants to purchase Darci.
