@BT27films I saw Dick Dale play at a small bar in Phoenix, AZ on my 21st birthday, an AMAZING experience (I think only ~80 people where there?) And I got to ask him how he felt about The Black-Eyed Peas raping his song, and he said He was just happy people still liked his music. He's a really, really cool dude. Never done a drug in his life he claims, spent time with monks.. Definitely see him live if you ever have the chance, well worth it.

Ever notice how a lot of the songs that hit top of the chart nowadays use catchy samples from older songs? It's either that or they use the same old cliche chord progressions using I,V,vi,IV. IMO, that's why I feel like creativity is dead i contemporary music. It's all computers and sampling now.
