Its so simple how he vanishes from the chair, when Stuart picks up the cloth and just about to put it over his head Barry unlocks a hinge from under his chair which releases it to come down so when it does come down he lifts up a cap attached to the back of the chair with metal wires that come over the back of the chair and then Barry goes into a trap door under the stage and when Stuart puts the cloth over the chair the cap looks like the top of Barry's head but he's just under the stage :D!!!
