@Nordfallen There are many people I subscribe to that make truly excellent videos and make a living through youtube, and all it costs is me occasionally watching an ad. Big freaking deal. People want this service for free, that doesn't work.

@UnknownXV Before any individual could make money on youtube there use to be much more ledgitmiate videos on youtube and less of the rubbish we see these days. Youtube could still make money with advertising, by just keeping the advertisement on the home page, they would make enough money just from that. If you think about it hundreds of millions of people go through youtube each and every day before video advertising they would have still been making probably around 300k a day$1 per 1000 clicks
