@GFMarshallx1 oh i definitely think prostitution should be legal. if we legalized prostitution than we would find less people in the profession who are trapped into it by trafficking, drugs, and pimps, and we find more people who volunteered freely because they chose the profession. furthermore, we could also enforce policies that required the use of condoms and reduced unwanted pregnancies and std's. the prostitutes could also seek refuge with the police from abusive clients.

@greycloud24 I respectfully understand your position, but I hope you still agree that prostitution should be fully legal, yet it is the public sector's duty to provide ways out for those who fall into the addiction trap, so those who are suffering and who wish to get out can do so. Furthermore prostitution should be LEGITIMIZED as a valid vocation as any intimate service industry profession.

@GFMarshallx1 i disagree. i think that some people are pushed into drugs and than into prostitution. they may consent, but they are doing it to serve an addiction, and the addiction forces them to consent. they are slaves to the drugs. these people are victims within their own circumstance. it is important to keep in mind the position the sex worker is in. if it is truly voluntary than i agree that there is nothing wrong with it.

Prostitution in and of itself is NOT immoral or degrading in any way, despite what the Bible Thumpers and Gynofacists try to bamboozle you with hyperbolic words and emotional pleas. This is because FORCED sex trafficking and the prostitution of MINORS ISN'T prostitution, its forced exploitation and abuse. But to consider EVERY instance, consensual or not, is exploitation is ABSOLUTE LUDICROUS. It DOESN'T MATTER what reason or state of mind the provider has, as long as CONSENT was FREELY given.

prostitution is not a problem, it is a symptom of a problem or multiple problems. in itself prostitution is fine, it is not exploitation if all parties are volantary. it is when there is forced prostitution that i become concerned. many women seek out prostitution because they are drug addicts (a problem). other women may be kidnapped and forced into prostitution because of high unfilled demand (a problem) for payed sex. to fix the prostitution "problem" you must fix the underlying problems.

damn..he wasted money on trying to free them...see the thing is, freeing individual people are not going to do anything without education and proper protocol. They need to seriously take legal aggressive action to tear these places down...urgh from the inside out and EDUCATE their young females..

@ECPATUSA Good point, didn't think about that!... it's terrible what happens in there places and I hope the authorities stamp this out sooner rather than later... |
