@Joshman13Z every generation has their rebellion repackaged back to them lol

@dstowerstx I mean nothin harsh, watch a movie called SLC Punk, i'm a metalhead not a punker, but that is still my favorite movie ever. The fact is, that as awesome and fun as the punk lifestyle can be, it never lasts for anyone, so were all just posers in the end. Really great movie really. As to your question, my town's local bands are a bunch of pussy who suck and can't get along, so I can't say much for local scene unfortunately, thanks for the info though.

@Joshman13Z Well that's what happens when you try to get a music of rebellion in a major online retailer. Punk is alive and well, it just ain't on iTunes.
I don't know where you live but there's a local scene almost EVERYWHERE. And if there isn't one in your town, start one. Start a band, start a label, find places for people to play, use the internet to network with bands close to your town. Welcome to DIY punk ethos.
It ain't iTunes.

this is fucking hilarious, what happens when overly academic anthropologists meet sarcastic nihilists.
