I think that what we are missing is the fact that Black and White are not races, but colors. Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid are the only valid ethnic classifications. What we call a Black person is actually an ethnic African regardless of where they were born. I was born in Jamaica and am a US citizen but my ethnic identity is African, genetically. There is neither a Jamaican nor American gene.

The movie "Skin" is a must-see drama that tells the story of Sandra Laing. It is very touching and moving and unfortunately, based on actual events. Only one can imagine being in her shoes and having had experience being loved, separated, and so forth an so on. I highly recommend you watch it. |
