Nobody says Saudi Arabia (KSA) starts with a K (K for Kingdom). Republica Argentina is always categorized alphabetically with countries that start with an A.

One reason people don't say USA for a country that starts with a U is, "America" starts with an A. "United States" is more of a political description than a country name.

Of course people aren't expected to know EVERYTHING about other countries if it really has nothing to do with their daily lives, but its a whole 'nother thing when there are people that can't answer basic BASIC elementary questions. How many sides does a triangle have? "What is the United Kingdom?" And how can someone from the US not think to say the fucking US when naming a country that starts with U! Obviously they chose the stupidest people...I wish just people could realize it and walk away.
