"Critics of the retro surf movement..."
These "critics" should pull their head in and remember that surfing all boils down to fun. I can only guess that their argument would run along the lines of "going back to old craft does nothing for the sport..." etc etc. Fuck your sport shit it's surfing and i've not heard one surfer say they started for the prospect of being recognised as a sport star.
