From 1955, when Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru conceded an offer for a permanent seat at the Security Council to China, New Delhi has permitted itself to be outsmarted by Beijing on this contentious issue. It is now high time to stop living in illusions and to acknowledge that China is one of the obstacles to India's quest for global stature.

what bullshit, the question was of UNSC for either PRC or Taiwan, and there India--after CCP gained control over China--rightly supported their candidacy instead of fake China (aka Taiwan). Never was the issue about India or China.
